Wind Reliability Engineer Opportunity

Drive the reliability of renewable energy assets as a Wind Reliability Engineer in Australia's growing renewable sector.

We're seeking an experienced engineer to join our Renewables Engineering team and play a pivotal role in maximising the performance of our wind portfolio. Our ideal candidate will focus on developing and optimising maintenance strategies across our fleet of wind assets, reducing unplanned downtime, improving safety, and unlocking innovative ways to extend asset life.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting FMECA and reliability reviews to inform strategy development
  • Monitoring and interpreting condition monitoring data and turbine performance trends
  • Analysing real-time and historical operational data in collaboration with the Operations Diagnostics Centre
  • Developing and owning asset intelligence systems to track performance trends
  • Collaborating with OEMs, research partners, and site teams to address systemic reliability challenges
  • Assessing and applying emerging technologies (drones, digital twins, AI-based analytics) to enhance asset management
About You

You may be an experienced engineer from the renewables sector or bring reliability experience from another heavy industry. What matters is your ability to apply reliability engineering principles and asset management practices to improve performance across distributed assets.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
  • Experience applying Reliability Engineering techniques and Asset Management principles
  • A strong understanding of HSE requirements and their practical application
  • The ability to provide clear technical support to diverse and geographically spread teams
  • Well-developed analytical skills, including root cause analysis and performance diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Possession of or eligibility/willingness to obtain Chartered Registration with Engineers Australia
