Strategic Sustainability Professional

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our sustainability agenda, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and social equity. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in shaping our strategic planning and reporting frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Sustainability, you will spearhead our sustainability program, overseeing robust reporting frameworks, meticulous data analysis, and comprehensive program management. Drawing on your expertise in external sustainability reporting, you will champion transparency and accountability, reinforcing our commitment to Sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing effective reporting frameworks to monitor progress and inform decision-making
- Utilizing analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights to drive strategy development and execution
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives forward and achieve impactful results
- Leading sustainability projects from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational sustainability goals
- Communicating complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner, using numbers as a tool for communication
- Establishing and overseeing a comprehensive calendar of sustainability initiatives, including managing its execution and evaluating impact
Requirements include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Management
- Experience and understanding of planning and strategy setting processes - using data to inform actionable insights
- Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainability programs, preferably within the energy or retail industry, demonstrating deep technical expertise in priority materials such as textiles and plastics
- Experience with emissions reporting protocols and emissions inventory development is highly valued
- Self-driven and ambitious mindset, combined with a genuine passion for sustainability
- Proficient project management abilities enabling effective tracking of outcomes and achievement of results
- Exceptional analytical skills, adept at communicating technical content to diverse audiences
- Strong commitment to sustainability and driving positive change
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging senior management and delivering executive-level presentations and reports
