The role of Group Sourcing and Sustainability Manager is crucial in overseeing the procurement of goods and services across the organization.

This involves ensuring that sourcing practices are sustainable, compliant, and socially responsible.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in achieving the company's vision of being a responsible retailer through the development and maintenance of its sustainability strategy and targets.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process, including strategic supplier selection and deselection, maintaining a master supplier database.
  • Rationalise and streamline the supplier database periodically in partnership with brands.
  • Analyse supplier metrics to shape forward brand sourcing strategies delivering competitive costs.
  • Lead the development and evolution of the company's sustainability strategy, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee supplier onboarding to the organization's code of conduct and ensure compliance with standards across the organization.
  • Develop and implement a Group Supplier Social Compliance Strategy, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Manage quality standards and procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor and manage product safety compliance, working closely with suppliers and internal teams.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Able to listen objectively and build rapport with teams.
  • 10+ years' experience in managing compliance, quality systems, and large-scale projects.
  • Tertiary qualification in Textile/Garment, Retail Management, Business, Legal, or Science-related fields.
  • Extensive experience in sustainability leadership, preferably within a multi-brand fashion retail or product manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
