Sport Coordinator and Duke of Edinburgh's Award Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the administration and delivery of sports programs and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

The Sports Coordinator & Duke of Edinburgh's Award Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with planning and delivering sport programs across the school
  • Organising, promoting, and managing Junior School Sport programs, including casual sport coach management, administration, and competition logistics
  • Coordinating House Sport carnivals and other sporting events
  • Providing administrative support for all school sports-related activities
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of all sport initiatives, including weekend sports events and competitions

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program, including the coordination of adventurous journeys through external providers, and related activities
  • Liaising with students, parents, staff, and external providers to ensure the successful implementation of the Award
  • Conducting risk assessments and managing health and safety requirements for all Award-related activities

Key skills and qualifications required for this role include:

  • Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Experience in managing or coordinating sports programs and/or cocurricular activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and external providers
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance standards
  • Passion for fostering student growth and well-being through sport and adventure
  • Flexibility to work on Saturdays as part of the full-time role
