The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Capability Assessor. As part of our diverse team based in Newcastle and Sydney, you will play a critical role in helping individuals develop their skills and capabilities.

The purpose of this role is to work closely with claims staff to assess their competence and capability through the completion of learning requirements and assessment.

This role will also involve contributing to the development and improvement of the EML frameworks to support team members in achieving their full potential.

This is a 12-month secondment position based in the Newcastle or Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare for, conduct, and document training delivery and assessment procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in a timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and contribute to validation and moderation.
  • Use teaching and assessment methods that are fair, valid, current, and sufficient.
  • Conduct and support training needs analysis with key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of the strategy and objectives.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal clients, and the management team by displaying our values and behaviours.

About You

  • Experience working within the NSW workers compensation system is highly desirable.
  • A successful track record in achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions throughout the continuous improvement lifecycle.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational ability, including the use of effective time management and prioritisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a drive to provide a high level of service to our customers.
  • Experience working in a demanding, high-volume, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products, including intermediate to advanced skill levels of MS Word and MS Excel.
