Your future role
In this newly established full-time permanent position, you will report to the Site Process & Manufacturing Engineering Manager at our Rollingstock Manufacturing Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the industrial ergonomics associated with the manufacturing processes at the site. Your role will involve structuring the ergonomic framework, tailoring industrial tasks to human capabilities, and providing training to cross-functional teams on ergonomic principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tailor work processes to align with human capabilities
  • Develop and implement the ergonomic strategy for the site
  • Educate, support, and engage various stakeholders during ergonomic projects (including PME, Production, Logistics, Tooling)
  • Participate in design phases for critical assemblies, utilizing simulation tools to evaluate the effectiveness of industrial decisions based on historical data
  • Ensure adherence to ergonomic standards and assessment methodologies
  • Track site performance against ergonomic indicators and dashboards
  • Guarantee compliance with Alstom's ergonomic standards within industrial operations by integrating the Alstom Performance System (APSYS) requirements
  • Advocate for site ergonomics at the APAC regional level

About You:
We prioritize enthusiasm and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:

  • Degree in Ergonomics (or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in ergonomic intervention methodologies and knowledge of workplace organizations (including anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and psychology)
  • Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) with the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA), or eligibility for certification
  • Experience in industrial settings, preferably within the railway sector
  • Project management experience
  • Familiarity with Quality and EHS standards
  • Proficient in ergonomic analysis tools
