This role focuses on providing expert health and safety advice and support to site management and workforce during maintenance and project shutdown activities.
The primary objective is to promote a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, safety observations, and incident investigations. This ensures compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide health and safety guidance to site management and workforce.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety observations to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a positive safety culture on site.
- Monitor work activities and provide guidance on hazard identification and risk control measures.
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher).
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practice.
- Previous experience in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry shutdowns.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safety outcomes.
- Current and valid tickets/licenses (e.g., White Card, First Aid/CPR, Driver's Licence).
- Ability to work FIFO from Perth on a flexible casual shutdown roster.
