Job Title

The ACT Public Service is committed to building a strong community engagement approach. As the Engagement Communications Officer, you will play a key role in communicating this commitment and supporting practical and cultural change across the organization.

We are dedicated to ensuring the community is well informed on government programs, policies, and services. We listen to the community's needs and provide meaningful opportunities for them to inform decision-making.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with officers from other directorates to influence and support engagement best practices. You will help develop and implement evidence-based approaches to improve our processes.

You will support directorates with their community engagements, participate in evaluating and reporting on engagements, and ensure adherence to the engagement governance framework.

This position requires excellent relationship-building skills, a focus on finding solutions, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a passionate and innovative team.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process, which may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This role is based in an activity-based working (ABW) environment, where officers do not have designated workstations. Opportunities to work from home exist as operational needs allow.
