We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with disability.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners or those transitioning from a related field to develop their skills and advance their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and person-centred planning for NDIS participants and their support networks
- Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans based on evidence-based best practices
- Champion participants' goals, strengths, and passions while promoting their autonomy and empowerment
- Advocate for the elimination of restrictive practices and promote person-centred approaches
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support
- Build capacity in families, carers, and community supports through education and coaching
