Equipment Operator

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our operations team as an Equipment Operator. This role involves ensuring the efficient movement of freight through our facility, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe working environment.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for safely managing and internally moving all consignments that come in and out of our facility in a timely manner.
  • This includes labeling consignments to ensure efficient routing and sorting them to the correct delivery area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate equipment to manage and move consignments within our facility.
  2. Maintain accurate records of consignment movements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient turnaround times and high-quality customer service.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.
  • A valid forklift license is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
  • A strong focus on safety, with a clear understanding of chain of responsibility principles, is required.
