About This Opportunity

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Program Manager to oversee our psychosocial support program. The Program Manager will guide a team of Recovery Workers to deliver high-quality services to individuals living with severe mental health conditions who are ineligible for government-funded programs.

This role requires a strong leader who will ensure program compliance, monitor service delivery, and support recovery-focused approaches in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee program operations to meet funding guidelines and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and risk management practices.
  • Manage tailored, recovery-focused psychosocial support provided to clients, including assessments, goal-setting, and individual recovery plans.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and operational leadership to a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community services, and external stakeholders, advocating for client needs and service improvement.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mental health services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience working with marginalized groups, including Aboriginal, CaLD, and LGBTIQ+ communities.
  • Strong commitment to consumer-centred care and recovery-focused services.
  • Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.
  • Skills in project management and familiarity with Australian mental health legislation.
