Aboriginal Legal Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as an Aboriginal Legal Advocate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice, assistance, and representation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people across Child Protection, Criminal, and Civil matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing culturally safe and inclusive legal services to vulnerable populations;
  • Working closely with our team to establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders;
  • Developing and implementing trauma-informed legal strategies and pathways that support positive outcomes in education, employment, and life planning;
  • Collaborating with other service providers to ensure seamless referrals and linkages to support services;
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in law and policy affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in legal advocacy and representation;
