About SummitCare

SummitCare, a leading provider of aged care services in Sydney and Newcastle, seeks an Accommodation Operations Director to oversee the management of our facilities. As a highly motivated and experienced professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties.

Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum

  • Work, Health and Safety champion
  • Recruitment of staff
  • Shift management
  • Reporting responsibilities
  • Strong Finance experience in aged care
  • Ensuring legislative compliance
  • Managing the admin team
  • Excellent customer service and sales background
  • Occupancy management, meet with family, schedule tours and discuss admission requirements
  • Room presentation, managing housekeeping and maintenance of the home

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years proven leadership experience in health, particularly client/case management, quality management, incident management and resolution
  • Working in an Aged care environment
  • Knowledge of the changing environment in the health sector, including funding, supplier market and emerging trends in service delivery
  • Exemplary customer service skills. Demonstrated experience in holistic customer care needs, team development, delegation and mentoring skills
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, continuous quality improvement and organisational change
  • Ability to meet deadlines; handling volumes of competing priorities and confidential matters whilst displaying discipline, discretion and integrity
  • Highly developed organisational skills, ability to maintain attention to detail whilst multi-tasking
  • A high level of computer literacy with extensive experience in Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare reports using clear, concise language that is appropriate for the intended audience
  • Commercial acumen to develop strategies that create business growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in dealing with sensitive information and adverse events
  • Participate in networking and regularly undertake continuous professional development
  • Demonstrate an understanding workplace health and safety
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
