Workplace Injury Prevention Specialist

This role is responsible for workplace rehabilitation and injury management services and support to the organisation where employees have suffered a work-related or non-work-related injury, illness or condition, in accordance with legislative, self-insurance and organisational requirements to ensure their safe return to the workplace.
About the Role- The primary conduit between an employee, their supervisor/manager and treating medical and allied health professionals in the identification, facilitation, negotiation and implementation of a safe workplace rehabilitation program where the employee may be suffering from a physical and/or psychological injury, illness or condition.
- Facilitate psychosocial risk assessments across the organisation.
This position will also facilitate psychosocial risk assessments across the organisation. It requires a proven track record in developing and managing health and wellbeing initiatives, including budget oversight and procurement, and possess deep expertise in psychosocial hazard management and risk assessment.
Key Requirements- Hold a degree in occupational therapy, allied health, health & safety, or a related discipline.
- Current Rehabilitation and Return to Work accreditation.
- Experience in high-level case coordination across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, covering both work-related and non-work-related injuries and early intervention programs.
- Deep expertise in psychosocial hazard management and risk assessment.
- Proven track record in developing and managing health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strong communication skills.
As a trusted advisor, educator, and mentor, you will forge meaningful relationships with stakeholders through clear, empathetic dialogue and professional written correspondence. You'll bring advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, and be adept at designing forward-thinking health programs informed by legislative changes and injury trend analysis.
