We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infection Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining infection prevention and control programs, ensuring safety and quality within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the infection prevention and control programs to ensure safety and quality within the facility.
  • Serve as a resource for all clinical and non-clinical departments in all areas related to the prevention and management of risks associated with infection control.

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience within Infection Control or a strong desire to enhance and develop Infection Control skills.
  • High level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to successfully work as a team member and independently when required.
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office suite of programs.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as a motivated, enthusiastic and positive role model for all clinical and non-clinical disciplines and services within the hospital environment.
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills accepting responsibility to implement and maintain Infection Control programs ensuring safety and quality within the facility.
  • Support developmental growth of nominated staff in Infection Control roles.
  • Obtain a Hand Hygiene Auditor Certificate.
  • Post graduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control is desirable but not essential.
