Job Overview

The Lead Grid Stability Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering work packages to align with project and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the project scope within budget, safety, quality, performance, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate between primary design, test, and manufacture functions to produce a robust and reliable electrical design and engineering package, associated drawings, hardware delivery, and manage site installation, cabling, and commissioning works.
  • Manage the preparation of offers and project management delivery of all project-related primary and auxiliary electrical systems regarding schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Lead the technical management of the transmission equipment offer/order processing team as well as close coordination with project management, project leads, and experts from fields of study preparation, software, and hardware engineering, as well as test planning and implementation.
  • Plan, monitor, and control the offer/order processing including technical conception, delimitation of the scope of delivery, scheduling/resource planning, costing, calculation, quality control, and management of opportunities and risks.
  • Provide reporting, information management, revision, and order completion as well as implementation of process and design reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering, or a comparable field with more than 5 years of standard duration.
  • Post-graduate professional experience and expertise in project management.
  • Tech-savvy and knowledgeable in high voltage transmission equipment and auxiliary systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and PM tools.
  • Proficient business communication skills in English.
  • Inter-cultural experience is ideal along with willingness to participate in local and international business trips (customer clarification, Installation Supervision and Commissioning activities).
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland RPEQ or Registered Professional Engineers of Victoria (RPEV) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification is mandatory.
  • National Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng) registered at the National Engineering Register in Australia is also mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex technical projects and lead multidisciplinary, culturally diverse teams in international projects as a project manager.
