About the Role
The Tax Accountant will play a pivotal part in preparing and reviewing financial accounting and compliance services for our clients. Responsibilities include:
  1. Preparation and review of income tax and FBT returns
  2. Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
  3. Support and mentoring of bookkeeping functions, including Xero setup and training, bank reconciliations, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable processing, manual journal entries, reconciliations, and review
  4. Payroll calculations, review, and related administration

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will bring a positive attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, professionalism, and customer service focus, along with:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration/Management (or a related field)
  • Current professional Accounting registration (CPA/CA, etc.)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in Australian public-practice tax and accounting
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Excellent professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • A strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and continuous improvement
