Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Expert to join our Deal Advisory Tax team in Australia. As a key member of the team, you will work on high-profile transactions, providing tax due diligence, structuring advice and transaction document review services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals and infrastructure projects;
- Develop and implement effective tax structures for transactions, including advice on deal structures and fund structures;
- Review and advise on transaction documents, including sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements and other contractual documents;
- Provide tax model reviews and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations;
- Support post-deal integration activities, including tax planning and implementation;
- Correspond with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) as required.
- Proven experience in tax advisory or consulting, preferably in deal advisory or transaction services;
- Strong tax technical skills, with expertise in Australian taxation law and international tax regimes;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex tax information to clients and stakeholders;
- Ability to work in a team environment, supervise and mentor junior staff members;
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service, with a focus on building strong relationships and trust with clients;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
As a Tax Advisory Expert at KPMG, you can expect a competitive salary package, including a base salary of around AU$120,000 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working hours, generous parental leave and career development opportunities.
