About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Integration Specialist - Facilities to join our team at Victoria's Big Build. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of maintenance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and integrate critical maintenance requirements throughout the lifecycle of the projects.
  • Participate in Safety in Design workshops and review associated deliverables to ensure maintenance needs are met.
  • Review compliance and quality of the infrastructure supporting documents to ensure maintenance readiness upon commissioning and handover.
  • Function as the first point of contact for facilities maintenance-related project queries.
  • Participate in the final defect and major commissioning walks and handover walks with Facilities Maintenance Supervisors or delegate to support the state project commissioning and handover activities.
  • Provide internal assurance that the critical construction/system defects are being identified, documented and rectified within agreed timeframe prior to Project Completions and Handover.
  • Collaborate with Project, Engineering, Quality and other integration functions as required.
  • Identify and communicate deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
  • Travel as required within Victoria or interstate.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience in Building Facilities and Projects Management, preferably with project delivery, commissioning, and supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with the rail & transport operating environments.
  • Highly astute analytical capabilities with the ability to identify and convey complex and technical issues to a range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to drive results and solve problems in railway facility maintenance and construction.
  • Strong communication with stakeholders, providing specialised advice on maintenance matters.
  • Excellent skills to prioritise and manage multiple project activities in a dynamic environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant engineering disciplines preferably within the rail or building industries.
  • Experience in reviewing compliance documents and ensuring quality in maintenance artefacts.
  • Ability to inspect works and manage defects before project handover.
  • Effective collaboration with Asset Management and integration functions.
  • Commitment to V/Line's core values of Responsiveness, Integrity, Impartiality, Accountability, Respect, Leadership, and Human Rights.
  • A current Driver's license is required.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Infrastructure related engineering discipline and/or Certificate IV through to advanced Diploma in Infrastructure, Building, Construction, and relevant field.
  • Desirable Experience in design, construction, commissioning, and handovers within railway infrastructure, focusing on maintenance integration.
  • Knowledge and experience in building management systems and services.
