We are seeking an experienced Asset Accounting Specialist to join our team at Hudson. As an Asset Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our client's assets, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing high-level support and advice on asset valuation, maintenance, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures for asset accounting
- Manage the asset register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Process all relevant entries for acquisition, disposal, impairment, revaluation, and depreciation
- Prepare precise financial information for the annual report, ensuring compliance with policies, Australian accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements
- Provide high-level support and advice on asset valuation, maintenance, and reconciliation
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards and government policies
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or a related field
- CPA or CA qualification
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience in asset accounting within a medium to large organization
- Relevant qualification in transport, building, or construction
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
