Job Title: Legacy Development Coordinator

The role of Legacy Development Coordinator is crucial in shaping the future of netball in Australia. The position plays a vital part in designing and executing a comprehensive legacy plan, ensuring long-term community, participation, and performance benefits are realised following a major sporting event.

The successful candidate will lead the operational execution of the legacy plan, create and develop strategic projects and initiatives that increase opportunities for participation and engagement across all levels of netball. They will also collaborate with key stakeholders to design evidence-based programs fostering sustainable growth in women's leadership, participation, and engagement in netball.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and lead the operational execution of the legacy plan, scheduling key milestones, engagement activities, and cross-functional workstreams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic projects and initiatives outlined in the legacy plan, focusing on increasing opportunities for participation and engagement across all levels of netball.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding and support for legacy initiatives, ensuring clear timelines and deliverables for stakeholder input.
  • Prioritise and sequence project deliverables to optimise resourcing, funding alignment, and strategic impact.

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent organisational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for sport and meaningful engagement. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of project management or related experience and a proven understanding of sport events and engagement programs.

Required qualifications include an MBA or degree in business, sports, or project management.
