Effective Case Manager

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a skilled Community Safety Specialist to contribute to the community’s well-being by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services, and support.
This challenging yet rewarding role requires the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, prepare comprehensive case plans, and provide targeted interventions to support clients in the justice system. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal communication skills, confidence in dealing with complex behaviors, and a proven ability to model positive behavior.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify areas of concern
- Prepare comprehensive case plans to address the underlying causes of offending
- Provide targeted interventions to support clients in the justice system
- Coordinate service providers and care teams to ensure comprehensive support
- Lead and develop staff to achieve best outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in effective case management practices with complex clients
- Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviors
- A proven ability to model pro-social behaviors to a caseload of individuals
- Ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve their best
