We are seeking a highly skilled Network Deployment Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure Design team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering our global network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers to ensure highest levels of performance.
- Deliver capacity to existing data centers and help build and bring online new data centers.
- Constantly improve all processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Liaise with internal teams and management groups to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local health and safety standards in all data centers.
- Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of our data centers and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
- An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building and managing technical teams.
- Incident and vendor management experience with security and health and safety awareness.
- Proven ability in driving and managing metrics/KPIs with a high degree of organization and detail-orientation.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio, and PowerPoint).
