Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the capacity, capital planning, and project execution for the expansion of our Australian and Japanese fulfillment network. As a key member of Amazon's Robotics Deployment team, you will define, drive, and simplify strategy, while being detailed-oriented and agile to manage business changes and keep driving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the build specifications and pre-contract work.
  • Inspire internal teams and maintain vendor relations.
  • Utilize the critical path, building effective partnerships with key stakeholders to help other teams deliver network capacity on time.
  • Define, drive, and simplify project delivery and business processes.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to support Amazon's commitments to sustainability.

About the Role

You will be interacting daily with a wide variety of teams and individuals at all levels of the organization and in multiple time zones. You'll be liaising with SMEs across the organization, diving deep to understand the technologies we deploy; you'll build on these relationships to help refine and improve our deployments and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Conversant with leading-edge technology including software, hardware, and robotics.
  • Experienced in leading teams through setup and configuration of software, hardware, and robotics projects.
  • Ability to perform onsite hardware and software support during initial system deployment.
  • Proven experience leading overall end-to-end project delivery including resources, Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), schedule, and vendor management.
  • Committed to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the year.
  • Business-level Japanese and English.
