Technical Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to lead our IT Service Delivery team in ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure technology services across the business.

This role provides leadership in people management, governance, service delivery, and project execution while driving continuous improvement through ITIL-based processes.

The position also oversees vendor relationships, policy rollout, and the delivery of IT initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & People Management

    Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Service Delivery team to achieve high performance and professional growth.

  • Governance & Compliance

    Ensure IT services and projects comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Service Delivery & Operations

    Oversee day-to-day IT operations and service desk performance.

  • Project & Program Management

    Manage end-to-end IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality outcomes.

  • Policy & Process Management

    Develop, implement, and communicate IT policies and procedures across the business.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management

    Manage IT vendor contracts, relationships, and performance.

Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience managing IT operations in a retail environment, including POS systems and e-commerce platforms.
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop IT staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues effectively.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
