We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Network and Systems Engineer to support and improve our customer networks and systems in Brisbane.

Job Overview

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for providing technical leadership in managing customer networks, infrastructure, and security. The successful candidate will be expected to proactively identify and implement improvements through automation and best practice configuration, as well as troubleshoot escalated incidents involving security, routing, and switching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Leadership: Provide technical leadership in managing customer networks, infrastructure, and security.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements through automation and best practice configuration.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot escalated incidents involving security, routing, and switching.
  • Integration Management: Lead technical integrations across WAN, WLAN, LAN, Virtual Infrastructure, IaaS, MS Office 365, firewalls, and more.
  • Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable networks and systems.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and effective problem solving.
  • Security Expertise: Stay ahead of emerging security threats and industry trends, providing insights and solutions.
  • Process Enhancement: Support ongoing improvement of processes and reference architectures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ Years Experience: 5+ years of experience in network architecture, design, and support (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VPN).
  • Troubleshooting Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting WAN, WLAN, LAN, Virtual Infrastructure, and MS environments.
  • Scripting Languages: Expertise in scripting languages and IT security practices.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, CCNP / CCIE, CISSP, or VCP are highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Technologies: Familiarity with Microsoft Server, Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware, and scripting technologies.
  • Security Knowledge: Knowledge of security systems (e.g. Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos) and networking infrastructure (e.g. HPE Aruba, Cisco, Juniper).
  • Backup Technologies: Experience with backup technologies like Veeam and StorageCraft.
