About the Role Work on the planning, design, and implementation of secure and efficient IT networks.
Collaborate with technical stakeholders to analyze systems and deliver infrastructure improvements that drive innovation in project delivery.
This opportunity is based in Brisbane, with potential opportunities in other cities across Australia.
Key Responsibilities Analyze and evaluate current network systems, capacity, and performance.
Design, plan, and develop network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches, and monitoring tools.
Implement security measures including intrusion detection, encryption protocols, and patch management.
Monitor system integrity, troubleshoot, and resolve technical faults across enterprise systems.
Conduct regular audits of systems, including backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT architecture, capacity planning, and system migrations.
Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures for compliance and continuity.
Support lifecycle upgrades, including procurement, vendor evaluation, and deployment of new technology.
Advise on technology strategy, integration, and cost optimization initiatives for infrastructure environments.
Key Criteria To be considered a successful candidate, you should possess the following: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering.
Strong coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages.
Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance and support.
