The Wind Energy Leader role within our established Renewable Energy team involves leading onshore wind projects and providing technical expertise. With extensive experience in onshore wind design, construction, and project management, this position will contribute valuable insights to clients and enhance Arup's market presence. Key work streams include owner's engineering, concept, and detailed design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.
  • Project Management: meet deadlines, monitor budgets, and control expenditure to achieve financial targets.
  • Represent Arup at internal and external events and participate in designing and delivering impactful business initiatives.
  • Oversee the performance and development of others through guidance, training, direction, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
  • A career track record of utility-scale wind experience.
  • An established presence within the renewable energy market and associated industry contacts.
  • Deep expertise in foundation design is highly valued.
  • Relevant industry experience in power systems, solar PV, hydrogen, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, lenders' technical due diligence, project management, project proposals, within a consulting environment would be considered advantageous.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.

About the Role:
