About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Connections Development Engineer to join our team at Energy Queensland.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work on major projects across Queensland, driving the energy transition towards net zero and supporting economic development with renewable energy solutions. You will be responsible for producing concept scoping and estimates to deliver customer connections, renewable energy targets, and the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan program.

Main Responsibilities
  • Communicate with stakeholders and customers to develop detailed technical engineering reports.
  • Support the delivery of multi-million dollar projects, prioritizing and managing competing project milestones.
  • Lead the connection of Solar and Wind farms, enabling the move toward BESS and other future major customer projects.
  • Work closely with the Major Projects Engineering Lead to deliver and support project-approved works within agreed timelines and budget requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical network infrastructure, including design, construction, maintenance, and operation.
  • Proven ability to develop good working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
