Senior Frontend Engineer - Android Mobile Web

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multimedia storytelling group, you will be responsible for building interactive user experiences that drive end-to-end product journeys.

You will collaborate closely with talented designers and engineers to drive innovation, maintain high standards, and deliver scalable solutions across platforms.

This role is part of the Video subgroup, where you'll work closely with engineers and designers to build powerful tools for video editing, compositing, and export across platforms.

About the Job

Designing and implementing solutions for smooth video playback using rendered frames on web

  • Enhancing Android Mobile Web rendering pipelines with a focus on memory efficiency, GPU optimisation, and frame timing
  • Developing compositor integration approaches to improve playback precision and performance
  • Extending solutions across platforms, including potential applications for iOS and beyond

Creating scalable, reusable mobile architectures that align with broader product strategies

Diagnosing performance bottlenecks and driving innovative, effective fixes

Contributing to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience with TypeScript in Android mobile web development
  • A problem-solving mindset that prioritises user impact over attachment to specific languages or platforms
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to fast-evolving projects
  • Deep mobile development experience using web technologies, with a cross-platform perspective
