Job Title: Security Systems Technician

As a professional in this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting security systems to ensure the safety of people, assets and businesses.

The primary duties of this position include performing low voltage cable installation, cable management, device installation and other assigned project duties as required. You will also troubleshoot, diagnose and repair systems and equipment as necessary.

Additional responsibilities include producing accurate documentation for projects, providing daily project status updates and communicating with project management teams. You will summarize, report and present non-compliant attributes of projects, sites or systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform low voltage cable installation, cable management and device installation.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair systems and equipment.
  • Produce accurate documentation for projects.
  • Provide daily project status updates and communicate with project management teams.
  • Summarize, report and present non-compliant attributes of projects, sites or systems.
Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 4-6 years' experience in installing and commissioning low voltage/data communication systems.
  3. OSHA 10 certification.
  4. MA State A-License (Master Electrician) or B-License (Journeyman).
  5. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  6. Ability to travel throughout New England.
  7. Availability to work off-hours and participate in on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MA State D-License.
  • Experience with integrated security control systems in detention facilities, prisons, courts etc.
  • Industry or manufacturer certifications.
  • RI State TST Data Licensing.
  • Firestop Certification.
