Site Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to lead the delivery of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations, managing trades and site teams, and coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and consultants.

  • Manage site delivery of multi-dwelling and supported housing projects.
  • Lead construction in line with program requirements and budget constraints.
  • Drive site compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, building codes, and relevant standards.
  • Coordinate trades, site teams, and project timelines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee site safety, cleanliness, inductions, and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and consultants to resolve any issues that may arise during the project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of tradespeople and site staff to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design and construction align with project objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting progress to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with site operations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Solid knowledge of OHS regulations, building codes, and relevant standards.
  • Certification in construction management or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
