Job Title: Security Business Manager

A leadership role has become available for an experienced and skilled Security Business Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio across Sydney and wider NSW.

This is a high-impact position requiring a capable leader who can drive operational excellence, build strong client relationships, and lead teams with expertise in security operations management.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day operations, including staffing, compliance, reporting, and safety. They will also be responsible for managing financial performance across the portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth, and implementing cost-effective rosters that meet compliance and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop site-based teams across multiple client sitesMaintain strong relationships with key clients and focus on retention and service deliveryManage day-to-day operations, including staffing, compliance, reporting, and safetyDrive financial performance across the portfolio, including revenue targets and cost controlBuild and manage cost-effective rosters that meet compliance and operational needsRespond to incidents and emergencies, including after-hours support as requiredWork closely with internal stakeholders across HR, recruitment, and rostering teamsSupport new business proposals, contract renewals, and service expansionsCoach and develop staff through regular performance conversations and supportInterpret and apply awards and enterprise agreements to real-world staffing requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a management role within security, events, logistics, or facilities
  • Proven experience leading teams across multiple locations
  • Clear communicator with strong client engagement and negotiation skills
  • Confident with operational systems including Microsoft Office, rostering, and payroll tools
  • Understanding of P&L and workforce planning principles
  • Experience with awards, EAs, and performance management processes
  • Calm, reliable, and solutions-focused under pressure
