Business Development Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our team and drive sales in the region. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing site pick and pack, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Customer Service Officers and Warehouse team members to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Effectively manage site pick and pack operations, including local manufacturing and customer specific testing work, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive employee engagement and improvement by using feedback, data analysis, and action planning to enhance overall performance.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Manage and lead all safety objectives, including training staff and reporting to senior leaders, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Regularly visit customer sites to develop technical solutions, offer best practice advice, and provide services to meet their needs.
Requirements:
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in an industrial supply or trade setting.
  • Ability to coach, lead, and have performance discussions to support team growth and success.
  • Sales experience with a strong focus on customer service and building rapport, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and forklift license (desired but not essential).
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and focus on completing allocated tasks and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comprehensive computer experience, specifically Microsoft Suite (Excel and Word required).
  • Strong time management skills, with a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to safety and promoting a safe working environment within the branch.
  • Experience with industrial products, such as lifting and rigging, trade products (desired but not essential).
