Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of approximately 128 FTE that will vary during our high and low season, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure operational excellence.
- Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest standards of quality.
- Culture Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the team, encouraging innovation and best practices.
- Safety Management: Take a lead role in driving safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
- Financial Planning: Plan and prepare all operations budgets and forecasts, aligning them with business goals and overall strategy.
- Cost Reduction: Review and recommend opportunities to reduce expenditure and improve efficiencies through BOMs, costing, and routings to ensure accurate product costing and inventory management.
- Cheese Making Experience: Cheese making and management experience, preferably with soft cheese.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role within food manufacturing, with a track record of successfully leading teams and optimizing operations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Financial Skills: Experience in budget planning, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively within a matrix organization.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Technical Skills: Experience with SAP preferred but not essential.
