About the RoleThis is a critical position within our organization and engineering team, requiring an RF Engineer with significant experience in designing and delivering private telecommunications networks into the mining and resource industry. If you have expertise in private networks, we encourage you to apply, but be prepared to challenge your engineering skills in designing fit-for-purpose enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities- Extensive experience with hands-on involvement in radio communications solutions, including architecture and infrastructure design.
- Hands-on experience with Tetra and P25 communication solutions is highly beneficial.
- Work as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex communications projects.
- Preparation and review of technical design documentation.
- Design, manage, and maintain standard documentation and specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to address network issues.
- Preparation of acceptance testing plans, procedures, and test scripts.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve serious service incidents, including hardware and software faults.
- Engage Root Cause Analysis for incidents and LTE Core and OAM network issues.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and identify solutions for new services additions.
- Work collaboratively with the Principal Consultant in carrying out contract negotiations regarding service delivery.
- Lead FAT, SAT, and commissioning of implemented solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mission-critical communication and operational technologies, specifically in the mining and oil and gas industry.
- Extensive knowledge of design, configuration, commission, testing, integration, and validation of transmission/microwave/voice mobile radio in the mining and oil and gas sector.
- Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis techniques to troubleshoot and problem-solve network issues.
- Ability to document and report design solutions and review documentation and design deliverables.
- Team-oriented and skilled in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and technical communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Telecommunications or Electronic engineering or the equivalent in experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of mission-critical communication and operational technologies.
