Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile App Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Mobile App Developer, you will play a key role in the development of our web-based auditing and inspection management software solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of the Certainty app.
  • Collaborate with other team members to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain the full Certainty software solution.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of all written code, ensuring that it is clear, concise, well structured, efficient and well documented with code comments.
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
  • Package and support deployment of releases.
  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
  • Provide third-level support to business users.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the software development industry.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' direct software development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud based services background.
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS and Jenkins a big plus.

Working Arrangements

This position is part-time initially (up to 20 hours per week) but could become full-time if initial performance goals and targets are met satisfactorily.

Location is remote but you must be based in Victoria, Vancouver or the lower mainland of BC.
