About the RoleThe Senior Operations Manager - Special Works will be responsible for leading and supporting our Special Works teams, including Soup Vans, Education, Youth Engagement, and NILS (No Interest Loan Scheme). This position will work closely with our leadership team to deliver highly effective and targeted support programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Special Works teams, providing clear direction and support to help them achieve their objectives.
- Maintain oversight of the department and ensure compliance and safety measures are in place.
- Promote a culture of risk management among your teams, ensuring they understand their accountability and take proactive steps to identify and resolve hazards incidents.
- Engage with staff and volunteers to address and resolve safety incidents, ensuring timely investigation and closure of related actions.
- Uphold ethical practices and ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders while maintaining professional boundaries.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can lead and manage our Special Works teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong risk awareness mindset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and support.
You will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in non-profit management.
- Experience in managing teams and working with volunteers.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
We offer a competitive salary package, including salary packaging benefits, and a comprehensive range of employee benefits.
Our estimated annual salary is $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
