Geriatric Medicine Consultant Opportunity

Hive Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced consultant to work in Australia.

This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive care to elderly patients with complex health needs in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage the healthcare of older adults.
  • Integrate care with other multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency medicine or equivalent.
  • Substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine and hospital practice.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
  • High level of communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively and lead in a team environment.
  • Commitment to effective clinical risk management and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Rural area medicine experience.
  • Significant experience in rural and remote emergency medicine or retrieval services.
  • Understanding of issues within a cross-cultural environment.
