Senior Geriatric Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team.
About the Role- The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the healthcare of older adults.
- They will also be able to integrate care with other multidisciplinary team members.
- Lead a team in providing high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement effective clinical policies.
- Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency medicine or equivalent.
- Substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine and hospital practice.
- A commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively and lead in a team environment.
- Capacity to manage clinical risk and improve quality.
- Knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and Work Health and Safety.
- Experience in rural area medicine.
- Significant experience in rural and remote emergency medicine or retrieval services.
- Understanding of issues within a cross-cultural environment.
