Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at our Head Office store in Rochedale. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and ensuring the smooth operation of the meat department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a small team of butchers and sales staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Create and manage rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize labor costs.
- Generate and manage orders for meat products, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
- Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize losses.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and other department managers to achieve store-wide goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
- Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential).
- Fresh food retail knowledge and experience (desired).
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with team members and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
