Underground Operations Specialist

Our goal is to find a highly skilled individual to join our team as an Underground Operations Specialist.

We are seeking someone who can effectively operate underground mine equipment, ensuring the production of coal meets set targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Operation of various underground mining equipment
- Maintaining safe work practices and adhering to site standards
- Participation in on-the-job risk management processes
- Installation, movement, cleaning, operation, and maintenance of conveyor belts and associated equipment
- Providing support to colleagues with any or all activities

To excel in this role, you must possess:

- The ability to stand for prolonged periods on uneven surfaces
- Capacity to walk for up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. occasionally
- Capacity to work in extreme conditions, including varying weather, dust, mud, noise, and light/dark levels

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience working in underground mining operations (preferably 12 months+)
- Competencies and abilities in Longwall and Development underground environments
- Commitment to achieving business objectives
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
