**About the role**:
We are currently seeking **Trainee** **Underground Operators (New to Industry)** at our Wambo mine. Our Wambo mine complex is a combined Coal Handling & Preparation Plant and Underground mine located 30 kilometres west of Singleton that produce coal for export and domestic markets.

The scope of your role will be to gain experience as an underground coal mine worker by learning to operate mining equipment safely and work effectively within a team to ultimately deliver on safety and production targets.

**Duties will include**:

- On the job training as an Underground Mine Operator
- Operation of mining equipment to achieve production targets, ensuring they are met safely and efficiently
- Demonstrate safe behaviours and practices
- Ensure all work is performed to site standards
- Participate and complete on the job risk management
- Participate in investigations as required
- Completion of training logbook

**The lifestyle**:
This position is offered on a roster of 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week (Day shift or Night Shift as required under the needs of the business).

Throughout the traineeship expect to be rotated around different mine rosters for experience.
