**About the role**:
We are currently seeking **Underground Operators** at our Wambo mine. Our Wambo mine complex is a combined Coal Handling & Preparation Plant and Underground mine located 30 kilometres west of Singleton that produce coal for export and domestic markets.

The scope of your role will be to work effectively within a team to meet safety and production targets.

**Duties will include**:

- Operation of mining equipment to achieve production targets, ensuring they are met safely and efficiently
- Demonstrate safe behaviours and practices
- Ensure all work is performed to site standards
- Participate and complete on the job risk management
- Participate in investigations as required

**The lifestyle**:
This position is offered on a fixed roster of 12 hour shifts, 3 days per week (Day shift or Night Shift as required under the needs of the business).

**About you**:

- Experience working in underground mining operations (ideally 12 months +)
- Underground competencies and abilities (Longwall and Development)
- Commitment to achievement of business objectives
- Be an effective communicator and team player
- A strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment workplace standards
- A strong safety and risk management focus
- Reliable
- NSW Deputy practicing certificate will be highly regarded
