Job Title: Cyber Warfare Specialist

Cyber Warfare Specialists play a critical role in the Navy's Cryptology community, analyzing encrypted electronic communications and deciphering information in foreign languages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Linguistic Expertise: Experts in linguistics, deciphering information in languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Persian-Farsi, Russian, and Spanish.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experts in airborne, shipborne, and land-based radar signals, communication network defense, and forensics.

Cyber Warfare Specialists perform a variety of duties worldwide, at overseas and stateside commands; aboard surface ships, aircraft, and submarines; and with Naval Special Warfare. Duties can be performed in an office setting, lab environment, specialized maintenance shop, secure space, or watch environment.
