Employment Support Specialist

About the Role

As an Employment Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored employment supports to individuals with disabilities.

Your primary responsibility will be to motivate, mentor, and support personal growth, helping your participants develop and establish their vocational identity.

You will work closely with a small group of participants, providing hands-on and consultative support to help them achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to participants, including on-site support once employment has commenced.
  • Mentor and encourage skills development, increasing participants' capacity for work.
  • Deliver person-centred supports, including assistance with integration into the workforce.
  • Collaborate with employers to provide support and consultation.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal History Check.
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
    • Capacity to successfully complete a NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement.
    • Availability to travel as required for service delivery and support of participants.
    • Availability to work part-time Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
