We're seeking a highly skilled Corporate Talent Engagement Strategist to join our team at Medibank. This exciting 3-month contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a purpose-driven organization that's committed to creating the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.


As a key member of our Talent Engagement team, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end attraction, engagement, selection, and onboarding of high-calibre candidates into the Medibank business. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing stakeholders with insights on best practice, market trends, and consultation with Hiring Managers to ensure the most suitable candidates are introduced to the business.


This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with our broader Talent Engagement team to ensure candidates, new employees, and hiring managers are set up for success. You'll have the chance to work in a dynamic environment with flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from our new Medibank Hub or from home.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Screening CVs and applications, shortlisting high potentials for phone screens.
  • Coordinating and conducting interviews with candidates, managers, and recruiters – ensuring rooms and invites are organized and interviews are conducted efficiently.
  • Ensuring recruitment deliverables are met within agreed timeframes, discussing limitations if targets are not being met by raising risks & suggesting remedial action options.
  • Providing candidates with progress updates during the recruitment process, including critical feedback and advice
  • Arranging psychometric assessments via preferred providers
  • Processing offers and coordinating background checks including criminal records checks and references.
  • Working in line with our Capability Framework to build the overall talent profile of the business.
  • Supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives within our organization.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across Medibank and external partners.

About You


To succeed in this role, you'll need proven experience in talent acquisition or agency recruitment, preferably in a high-volume desk within a corporate environment. You'll be expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism while building and nurturing positive working relationships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, are essential. You'll also need to be able to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
