About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Policy, Government Relations and Engagement to join our Customer and Strategy team. This newly created role will focus on strengthening our presence in advocating for public policy and engagement with Government and Industry to support our strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing our enterprise strategy for corporate relations, monitoring the public policy environment, developing and advocating policy positions with and to key external stakeholders. They will also support our Head of Corporate Relations and Communications and senior leaders to ensure a cohesive and consistent public policy, government, industry and stakeholder relations strategy.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, industry affairs or corporate affairs within an issue-rich and highly regulated environment. You may come from a background of working in politics, familiar with providing ministerial support and/or directly working as a public policy specialist within the Government.

You will possess sound judgment to discern potential impacts of policy changes to our business models/operations across the business and be able to frame a clear proactive action plan and execute with minimal supervision. You will thrive in working within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, with the ability to pivot where necessary.

You will also possess outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) that will enable you to create policy submissions, briefing notes, presentations, media materials, speeches and digital content.
