The Alpha Portfolio Services team is a global business unit that works closely with clients, SSC IT, client service, and the business operations teams to provide accurate end-to-end oversight of information delivery to our clients.

We are seeking an Assistant Vice President who will be responsible for ensuring the investment book of records is accurately maintained and client portfolios are reflected on State Street platforms.

This role involves interacting with clients (predominantly front office) and serving as a key liaison with various portfolio managers and internal SSC parties to identify issues and find suitable resolutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with colleagues and divisions globally for query resolution
  2. Leading and coordinating workstreams within Investment Manager Services for identified issues and subsequent resolution
  3. Buiding relationships with clients, understanding data usage, and designing or improving existing controls to provide better quality of service aligned to client needs and expectations
  4. Performing an overview function for Shared Services functions to identify operational trends, issues, and areas for improvement
  5. Working independently to research and resolve problems considering multiple avenues for resolution
  6. Communicating effectively on issues/problems to clients and SSC management, ensuring proper and timely follow-up for resolution
  7. Providing guidance, support, acting as a resource, and assisting team members from multiple operational areas relating to Enterprise queries

Managerial responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining a detailed understanding of the scope of the role's managerial responsibilities, the competence of staff reporting, and ability to delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team
  2. Cultivating strong collaborative skills within the Alpha Portfolio services team and other Operational/Technical Support teams
  3. Ensuring clear understanding of reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities, objectives, training, and competency requirements among team members
  4. Establishing and monitoring systems of control, delegated authority, and escalation procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
