Your Professional Role

As a Sterilising Technician, you will play a key part in our healthcare facilities, responsible for the care, handling, and reprocessing of reusable medical instruments according to national guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of all instruments
  • Cleaning, decontamination, sorting, and assembling surgical instrument trays
  • Providing high-quality care and service to clients in line with their individualised care plans
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal client outcomes
  • Liaison with and referral to other organisations as required to cater to clients' needs
Essential Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation and current knowledge of national standards
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer and mobile device skills
  • First Aid and CPR certifications, required within one month of commencement
  • Vaccinations against Influenza and Covid-19, maintained up-to-date
  • Current National Police Check
  • Where applicable, Disability Services Queensland screening and Working with Children Check also required
